From Being Doubted to Building Sendexa: My Story So Far

Turning 21 isn't just a milestone—it's a moment of reflection. As I celebrate this birthday, I look back on a journey filled with rejection, betrayal, and isolation—but also one driven by purpose, vision, and resilience.

When I started building Xtocast, I had no money, no support, and no connections. I got scammed. I lost money. People laughed. Even some of the closest people I trusted gave up on me. But I never stopped believing.

Sendexa was born out of those painful lessons. It wasn’t just a startup—it was my redemption. Every sleepless night, every failed launch, every cold email and ignored DM built the foundation for what Sendexa is becoming today.

Building From the Volta Region

I didn’t come from Accra, Silicon Valley, or Nairobi. I came from a town in the Volta Region, with just a laptop and a vision to create Ghana’s leading communication and API platform. People said I was dreaming too big. Some still do.

But today, Sendexa is not just a dream. We've built robust SMS and OTP systems, launched beautiful dashboards, and are finalizing powerful APIs. We are pushing boundaries from a region most overlook—and we’re not done.

"They doubted the boy. They’ll respect the man. This is just the beginning."

The Road Ahead

Sendexa will focus solely on communications—SMS, OTP, voice, and email. Xtopay will lead the payments front. And beyond that, I’ll continue building Boame, Zendu, and Xtottel to complete the Volta tech empire I envision—Code Volta.

To those who believed, thank you. To those who doubted, thank you even more. You're part of this story.
